Overview

The CS2 storage unit manager for Chrome

CS2 Storage Unit Manager is a Chrome extension for Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) players — and anyone who carried over a collection from CSGO — who wants a clean browser workflow for storage unit management. Deposit CS2 skins, cases, and stickers into storage units; withdraw them back to your main inventory; rename units to keep things organised. All without opening the game.

The extension works with the Steam Community session already in your browser. It connects directly to Valve's Steam and CS2 Game Coordinator services — there is no developer-operated backend, and your credentials never leave your browser.

Features

Everything you need to manage CS2 storage units from Chrome

Counter-Strike 2 replaced CSGO but storage units remain central to keeping a large CS2 inventory organised. CS2 Storage Unit Manager gives you full deposit, withdraw, and rename control from the browser — no game open, no third-party backend.

Deposit

Deposit into storage units

Select eligible Counter-Strike 2 items from your inventory and move them into any storage unit in one flow.

Withdraw

Withdraw from storage units

Browse the contents of any CS2 storage unit and pull items back to your main inventory directly from Chrome.

Rename

Rename storage units

Give your Counter-Strike 2 storage units meaningful names to keep your CS2 skin collection organised.

Context

Item detail overlay

See item name, rarity, wear, and current storage state before committing any deposit or withdraw action.

Security

No credentials, no backend

Never asks for your Steam password, Steam Guard code, or API key. No developer server receives your data — everything stays between your browser and Valve.

No game needed

Manage without launching CS2

Counter-Strike 2 does not need to be running. The extension works through Steam Community in your browser using the CS2 Game Coordinator.

How it works

Manage CS2 storage units in four steps

  1. Install CS2 Storage Unit Manager from the Chrome Web Store. Review the listed permissions — the extension only needs access to Steam Community and api.steampowered.com.
  2. Sign in to Steam Community in the same Chrome profile. The extension uses your existing browser session. No separate login, no password entry.
  3. Open your Steam inventory on steamcommunity.com. CS2 Storage Unit Manager activates automatically and shows deposit, withdraw, and rename controls alongside your Counter-Strike 2 items.
  4. Select items and confirm the action. Review item name, rarity, wear, and storage destination before moving anything. Actions only run after your explicit confirmation.

FAQ

Common questions

Does Counter-Strike 2 need to be running?

No. CS2 Storage Unit Manager communicates with Valve's CS2 Game Coordinator through your Steam Community browser session. Counter-Strike 2 does not need to be open for deposit, withdraw, or rename actions.

Does it work with CSGO items carried over to CS2?

Yes. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive items that were migrated to Counter-Strike 2 are stored in the same Steam inventory and the same storage units. CS2 Storage Unit Manager works with all eligible CS2 inventory items including those originally from CSGO.

Where do I install it?

CS2 Storage Unit Manager is available on the Chrome Web Store. Search for CS2 Storage Unit Manager or install directly from the listing. It works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, and other Chromium-based browsers.

Is it safe? Does it need my Steam password?

It never asks for your Steam password, Steam Guard code, shared secret, recovery code, or API key. It works only with the Steam Community session already present in your browser. There is no developer-operated backend — your data goes directly between your browser and Valve's servers.

Is this affiliated with Valve or Steam?

No. Counter-Strike 2, CS2, CSGO, Steam, and Valve are trademarks of Valve Corporation. CS2 Storage Unit Manager is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve.
