Overview

The CS2 storage unit manager for Chrome

CS2 Storage Unit Manager is a Chrome extension for Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) players — and anyone who carried over a collection from CSGO — who wants a clean browser workflow for storage unit management. Deposit CS2 skins, cases, and stickers into storage units; withdraw them back to your main inventory; rename units to keep things organised. All without opening the game.

The extension connects directly to Valve's Steam and CS2 services. Sign in on Steam Community in Chrome with QR or password — the same official Steam login you already use. Credentials go directly to Valve. After that, a secure connection for that account is kept on your device so you do not need to sign in every time. There is no developer-operated backend.

Features

Everything you need to manage CS2 storage units from Chrome

Counter-Strike 2 replaced CSGO but storage units remain central to keeping a large CS2 inventory organised. CS2 Storage Unit Manager gives you full deposit, withdraw, and rename control from the browser — no game open, no third-party backend.

Deposit

Deposit into storage units

Select eligible Counter-Strike 2 items from your inventory and move them into any storage unit in one flow.

Withdraw

Withdraw from storage units

Browse the contents of any CS2 storage unit and pull items back to your main inventory directly from Chrome.

Rename

Rename storage units

Give your Counter-Strike 2 storage units meaningful names to keep your CS2 skin collection organised.

Context

Item detail overlay

See item name, rarity, wear, and current storage state before committing any deposit or withdraw action.

Security

Official Steam login, no backend

You sign in on Steam Community with QR or password. Credentials go only to Valve. No developer server receives your login or inventory data, and the secure account connection stays on your device.

No game needed

Manage without launching CS2

Counter-Strike 2 does not need to be running. The extension works through Steam Community in your browser with Valve's CS2 services.

How it works

Manage CS2 storage units in four steps

  1. Install CS2 Storage Unit Manager from the Chrome Web Store. Review the listed permissions — the extension only needs access to Steam Community and api.steampowered.com.
  2. Sign in on Steam Community in the same Chrome profile. Use Steam's official QR or password login on steamcommunity.com. Credentials go directly to Valve, not to My CS2 Stuff. If the extension needs a fresh connection, it will ask you to sign in on Steam again.
  3. Open your Steam inventory on steamcommunity.com. CS2 Storage Unit Manager activates automatically and shows deposit, withdraw, and rename controls alongside your Counter-Strike 2 items.
  4. Select items and confirm the action. Review item name, rarity, wear, and storage destination before moving anything. Actions only run after your explicit confirmation.

FAQ

Common questions

Does Counter-Strike 2 need to be running?

No. CS2 Storage Unit Manager talks to Valve's CS2 services through Steam Community in your browser. Counter-Strike 2 does not need to be open for deposit, withdraw, or rename actions.

Does it work with CSGO items carried over to CS2?

Yes. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive items that were migrated to Counter-Strike 2 are stored in the same Steam inventory and the same storage units. CS2 Storage Unit Manager works with all eligible CS2 inventory items including those originally from CSGO.

Where do I install it?

CS2 Storage Unit Manager is available on the Chrome Web Store. Search for CS2 Storage Unit Manager or install directly from the listing. It works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, and other Chromium-based browsers.

Is it safe?

You sign in on Steam Community with QR or password, the same way you always do. Your credentials go to Valve, not to My CS2 Stuff, and there is no developer-operated backend. A secure connection for that Steam account stays on your device so you do not need to sign in every time.

Is this affiliated with Valve or Steam?

No. Counter-Strike 2, CS2, CSGO, Steam, and Valve are trademarks of Valve Corporation. CS2 Storage Unit Manager is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve.

What the extension does

CS2 Storage Unit Manager lets you manage CS2 storage units on Steam Community from Chrome: deposit items, withdraw items, rename storage units, and review CS2 inventory details. Sign in on Steam Community in Chrome with QR or password as you normally would.

Login happens on Steam's own pages. Credentials and Steam Guard codes go directly to Valve; My CS2 Stuff does not receive them. The extension does not ask you to type your Steam password into a separate login screen.

Data accessed

  • The active Steam account identifier from your browser session.
  • A secure, encrypted account connection stored locally after you sign in on Steam.
  • Steam account identifier returned by Steam.
  • CS2 inventory and storage-unit data from Steam.
  • Minimal local extension state, such as acknowledgement, UI preference, and connection status.

How it is used

  • Match the active browser Steam account to the locally saved extension account.
  • Connect directly to Valve's Steam and CS2 services.
  • Display inventory and storage-unit contents.
  • Execute deposit, withdraw, and rename actions only after you choose them.

Sharing and retention

The extension has no developer-operated backend. Steam credentials, session tokens, inventory data, and storage-unit data are not sent to My CS2 Stuff, advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties.

The secure account connection is encrypted and retained locally per Steam account until you delete that account or uninstall the extension. Production logging is disabled and no rolling debug log buffer is retained.

Network destinations

  • steamcommunity.com for Steam session and inventory endpoints.
  • api.steampowered.com for Valve's CM server directory.
  • Steam servers used for CS2 storage-unit actions.

Independence

CS2 Storage Unit Manager and My CS2 Stuff are independent and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation or Steam.
